Whimsical Free Verse Poetry - Deux

Awake By Ujjwal Dey
Like a silent wind
A breeze of fate
The dream of tomorrow
More time in bed
Echo of thousand ghosts
Whispers from talks
Of days long ago
Begone away from me

Anxiety and thee
Stabs in vapid sea
My hunger and pain
Too strong for the sane
Read aloud sometime
The joy of pastime
Frivolous in life
Death do be my wife

New Trip by Ujjwal Dey
The skulls of odyssey
A drunken poetry
Beyond the time and place
Where crime sleeps in peace
Only drug of your mind
Being sick of gentile kind
Kick your self and boots
We are all in cahoots

Death relieves no pain
You are your own bane
Give up your prayers
Cast away thy swears
You know me as thy friend
Mending you in my bend
Killing you to succeed
Crabs of sea of mead

For the Love of a Woman

Love and staying together of couples could be traced down to the evolutionary benefit of surviving with an offspring. If both parents, male and female, stick around after the seed is planted, there is a better chance for them all in nature's cruel game. There is more to it if you don't want to include historical and/or sociological obligations, which have further firmly installed the loyalty into love.

Man and Woman have depended on each other for varying reasons throughout all human life - ancient to modern.

If we go to the primal need or urge - beyond sexual urges that don't necessitate a long-term relationship - then familiarity, trust, companionship, inter-dependence and the important genetic motivation to perpetuate a family of our own would be the cause of love.

Love - its sickening isn't it - making you the slave of your own mind - serving the fire to keep yourself burning with emotions. Love; I hope to truly feel it myself someday, strong enough to sweep me off in a wave of passion, hopefully not crashing so hard as to cause the ruin of me. No man is an island, for the nymphs of the deep sea call and the devil of solitude is as horrible that you might as well drown yourself in her arms, sinking in bosoms as you be inside her for moments that make you realise why you are a man and why indeed there exists a woman.

Must Watch Murder Movies

Must watch Murder Movies
You think you have heard it all. All the possibilities of crime and human insanity. The extremes of passion and perversion. Well you haven't.

Memento
The man knows only that he needs to exact a revenge on a certain person with certain initials in his name. He suffers from short-term memory loss, remembering fully only what he knows before the incident that changed his life. Before his wife was raped and murdered and now he remembers nothing new. Everyday he wakes up wondering where he is, what he needs to do. He talks to someone on the phone but doesn't remember who. He investigates meticulously to find the murderer. No one can help him. No one can trust his testimony under his mental condition. He leaves hints and clues for himself all day, to ensure he remembers to do what he needs to. This is not limited to notes in his own handwriting and to the polaroid photos he collects of people he meets. He has tattooed on his body things he should never forget.

Will he get to get his revenge ? You see it all in reverse chronological order. As each scene ends, his memory ends and you go back to the event preceding it. Joining this puzzle in his mind, you see the unfolding neurosis of a man trying to understand himself. How many years has it been since his wife's murder ?

A child born to be abandoned - not just by his mother, who is hanged after his birth; but also by the world around him. From the stench of the sewers of Parisian fish market of his birth to the misery of an orphanage to the slavery in a tannery to learning that scents can be captured. He can smell over a thousand smells and distinguish them. He knows every smell but can't name them all. Destiny brings him in contact with a perfumer and he learns that he can indeed now preserve smells.

As he goes onward in his journey to capture and smell everything beautiful he comes to the city of Grasse and his one murder back in Paris reminds him of the unique scent of a woman. He realises for the first time about himself - about his own scent. His passion and perversion takes to extremes and he cannot be stopped as he has created a perfume so beautiful that no one can declare him anything but an angel. Returning to Paris, he must face his destiny - he has never been loved and can't love - so he returns to his place of birth for seeking the primal truth of his existence and talent.

Hostel
As discussed in previous post - horrifying, shocking and quite believable. Very well made movie deserving better slot than pop horror.

Hostel 2
Not as horrifying or gripping as the first movie but entertaining nonetheless. This time the backpackers are females and they are deadlier than the males. I would still say the first movie is far more original, intriguing and engaging. This one is not a good sequel but has good performances by the cast of actors.
