Movie Review: Species - The Awakening

Species - The Awakening

If there is a worse movie in recent years then I have yet to know about it.

The first Species movie was brilliant piece of pulp scifi.

The second the lame sequel which should have killed the franchise.

Then came this piece of retard film-making which is worse than shooting your own horse and placing its decapitated head in your own bed - it not only ruins the whole concept and future of Species, but also makes you vomit at the stupidity that gets millions of dollars of investors in a professional place such as Hollywood.

Somebody tell director Nick Lyon to find himself a new vocation as a favour to himself instead of sharing his miserable lack of talent with fans of the original Species movie.

WHAT IS SPECIES AWAKENING ?

Complicated question - here is a simple answer:

ingredients: Species DNA premise, X-Men makeup, Matrix style upload of knowledge, leaps as seen in Spiderman, horror from The Omen, etc. etc. etc.

A hash of a million cult movies - with a choppy editing job - with no comprehensible script skill - with the worst of ham acting - forget predictability, it will shock you at its pedestrian entirety.

Phew! I am at a loss of words to describe the utter futility of attempting to watch this piece of shit float around and then jerk around, like a turd refusing to drown, fretting about frenetically and stinking up the surroundings with the disgust that makes you want to burn down the house for having noticed this pile of crap in your home.

On the plus side - the doll faced protagonist villain looks good for a few early moments - where she is whiter than Nicole Kidman and has her nose and facial appearance as well as hair. I think she may have risked ending her career before she could start. And maybe you will not notice this nonsense and concentrate on skin display instead.

What is the original beauty of Species - Natasha Henstridge - doing these days ? She was the best find to come out of a pulp movie in years.
